District 5890 Youth Exchange Farewell Banquet

The Alvin Rotary Club was honored to be chosen as the host club for the 2008 Rotary District 5890 Youth Exchange Farewell Banquet. This year's event was held on May 18th, 2008 at Alvin Rotary Park, the site of our annual BBQ Cookoff competition. This annual event showcases the fifteen inbound and fifteen outbound Rotary Youth Exchange Students. The students and District 5890 representatives were treated to a full day of entertainment in Alvin Rotary Park including games, a hayride, a woodcarving demonstration and a feature performance by the Alvin Rotary Club Gunfighters. The day's activities were capped off with a barbecue brisket dinner in the newly-renovated Alvin Rotary Hall.
